Below is a custom carbon fiber cover for a 265hp turbocharged engine. The complex curved shell of this cover is solid laminate carbon fiber, vacuum bagged and oven cured. Although weight was not a consideration for this client, the replacement cover weighed 55% of the weight of the original and was stronger.
